The Small Postal Administrations' Cooperation (SEPAC) joint stamp issue for 2013 is 'Animals'.
The folder contains one mint stamp from each participating postal administration and we chose our Kennel Club of Jersey Irish Setter stamp to be included.
Dogs play an important role in family life in Jersey and their owners enjoy walking them on the island's beautiful beaches.
Many of Jersey's dogs are enrolled in the Kennel Club of Jersey for training in obedience and agility and they are often entered into Shows in the Channel Islands and the UK as fine representatives of a wide variety of breeds. Jersey has many Champion Dogs and this Irish Setter, Jsy CH Tiroen Taylormade Pd'H Sh CM is the only Jersey bred dog to receive a Show Certificate of Merit from the Kennel Club in the UK.
Each year, SEPAC, the Small European Postal Administration Co-operation, brings you a beautifully presented collection of stamps on a chosen theme. The folders contain one mint stamp from each participating postal administration, together with information about each of the countries adn their stamp subjects.
