Hamptonne Country Life Museum is a beautiful, 15th Century farm complex, made up of three houses as well as outbuildings, such as the cider barn and stables. The complex has been completely renovated and refurbished by the three main heritage organisations on the Island to reflect the historical importance of Jersey's farming heritage. The National Trust purchased the farm in 1987. The Société Jersiaise then renovated the property, with the roof of Hamptonne House being completely re-thatched and the hearth being restored to its original 15th Century design. The site is now operated by Jersey Heritage, which keeps chickens, pigs and cows on site. Six stamps show the Hamptonne Country Life Museum that reflect the warmth and affection felt towards the property by Islanders and visitors alike.
