The second overprint to appear on a Jersey Post & Go JE02 stamp in 2016 will celebrate the 3rd birthday of Prince George, Jersey Post has revealed.
Prince George of Cambridge was born to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge on 22 July 2013 and is the older brother of Princess Charlotte. His full name is George Alexander Louis and he is currently third in line to succeed the British throne.
To celebrate the young Prince’s special day, Jersey Flag stamps from Jersey Post’s JE02 Post & Go kiosk will be printed with a commemorative overprint. The overprint which will read: Prince George 3rd Birthday will be available from Friday 22 July until Saturday 20 August 2016 and collector strips will be available from the Jersey Philatelic Bureau whilst stocks last. The JE02 series Post & Go kiosk, powered by Royal Mail, is located in Jersey Post’s Broad Street post office in St Helier.
The Post & Go stamps featuring Protected Species, issued in February 2015, will continue to vend from the JE02 kiosk. The stamps will not carry the commemorative overprint but will continue to feature the ‘Broad Street’ location identifier.
All Post & Go stamps carry identification numbers unique to the kiosk and a session number indicating where and when the stamps were issued. Post & Go stamp products such as mint strips, First Day Covers and Presentation Packs can be ordered at: www.jerseystamps.com
