Jersey’s JE01 series Post & Go kiosk will make its first appearance in Germany later this month when it attends the International Stamp Fair in Sindelfingen. An annual event, the stamp show known as ‘Internationale Briefmarken-Börse’, takes place across three days this year, from Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 October.
The JE01 kiosk will vend Jersey Post’s original Jersey flag stamps featuring the exhibition overprint, Sindelfingen October 2015. The overprint will be available on Jersey flag stamps for the duration of the event and collectors will also be able to buy back office strips featuring the same overprint from Jersey Post’s back office B002 kiosk.
“This is the first time our JE01 machine has travelled to the fair at Sindelfingen,” comments Melanie Gouzinis, Head of Philatelic at Jersey Post. “The show is known for being a popular event and we’re looking forward to introducing our Post & Go stamps to a new audience. As well as vending the original Jersey flag design, JE01 will vend stamps featuring our Jersey Protected Species design without the overprint.”
Back in Jersey, Jersey Post’s static JE02 kiosk will vend Jersey flag stamps with a special Royal Air Forces Association overprint from 30 October. The overprint, marking the Jersey branch of the Royal Air Forces Association’s 90th anniversary, will read RAFA Jersey 90 and will be available for one month only.
All Jersey Post & Go stamps carry identification numbers unique to the machine and a session number representing where and when they were issued. Post & Go stamp products such as mint strips, First Day Covers and Presentation Packs can be ordered at: www.jerseystamps.com
